I'm here for the pain.
I had a very visceral reaction to the mayo application...
I'd have gone with a Hayabusa engine. 1300cc. MORE POWER!!!
I need to know if anyone has put this in an pit bike (not grom)
What is a turban engine? 👳🏿♂️
100 years and we've only gone up 5 more letters? Damn, car design takes forever.
if you held it upright, it's a plastic man with wood... 5:17 ... Elon loves that kind of stuff
instead of markers could you just use some kind of removable marker and scribble some stuff on a surface to give the scanner something to look for ?
Man, I was just taking a bite of my pizza while you stuffed your ham sandwich into the carbon fiber, and now I stuffed my half chewed pizza right into every nook and crevice of my keyboard.
Brilliant 😂
This is probably my 4th time rewatching this series and you totally missed a solid opportunity to make a alice in chains nutshell joke
I would have your love child… awesome project, professional presentation, and smarmy wit… love it!
Other thing to note, many big named companies have been using chopped fiber heat press moulding "Forged Carbon" for years. It is only used for cover panels and not used for anything structural (Lamborghini Huracan engine cover). It wasn't until it became 'mainstream' that it picked up the name and everyone else started using it. It's basically the carbon equivalent of chop strand, nearly the same process they use on fiberglass boat hulls.
Missed opportunity to add ramen packs. Not the noodle, just the seasoning packets. 😂
I’m high and I understood everything…$ hell yeah
Tip for preventing tearout while cutting a radiused edge: Start with the bit really low, so it's just barely shaving the wood. Do a full pass that way. Then raise the bit ever so slightly, and do another pass. Continue with more passes until you get the radius you want. Be patient and sneak up on it. By shaving less wood with each pass, you drastically reduce the odds of that bit digging in and sending a chunk of wood flying into space. Yes, it takes five times as long, but it takes less time than starting over from scratch. It's also much less scary. Ask me how I know all this ... 🤠
That would suck and be expensive to drive 700 miles each way for nothing.. if it was wet anyway..
Tomato fortified with 30x your rdi of magnesium, iron and zinc though 💪
I used to play the 'how low can I go' game with my Miata. Then 9/11 happened and I had to fight my way home with the indicator below 'E'. I made it, but, now I never go below half a tank. Now I know I have 150-odd miles range regardless of what the troglodytes from hell decide to do.
I’m rather partial to the Vidmar/Lista stuff. It what we mostly use in aerospace and they tend to end up with stupid amounts of weight in them. As for the Snap On boxes, I’ve never had a pressing desire. I am in a position where I need to find something for my home shop that’s got ball bearing slides because my vintage Craftsman is just not cutting it these days. Though just looked at the Husky and wasn’t impressed with the weight rating of the drawer slides. Most drawers are probably fine but there’s always at least one drawer that’s heavy AF. Lol

I'm totally Zen now and i don't even have a Zen garden!
Adding a comment two years later, for... engagement, and stuff.
Is there any reason why you're using fiberglass over say carbon fiber?
I once had the opportunity to TIG weld aluminium with a high-end machine that actually no-one in that work-shop had ever used: once I got familiar with the settings, I was amazed how well it went, simply because I was able to configure it to do what I would have needed to do manually with a middle-range welder with a pedal or throttle or the like. High end machines do have their uses and purpose. I once had the opportunity to TIG weld steel after taking some MDMA: TBH I've never welded that good and some pros have confirmed my welds were amazing. So I totally agree that for good welding you need to let your ego away (like Bruce Lee did) but I still don't recommend taking any drugs for welding : especially alcohol, it makes me very bad at welding. For TIG welding foremost, make sure your parts are adjusted properly : then you might barely need additional material (except for the start). A dream I have? TIG welding in microgravity, for welding really thing sheets. Thin sheets is IMHO the ultimate exercise and achievement. Overall, a very good video, remember to be chill and at peace with yourself and your universe. Happy hacking!
The amount of problems created just to make your door handles look worse is mind blowing, and it's hilarious when someone who actually knows about aerodynamics tells you that it makes no difference how you switch the topic and say "oh but it looks cool" meanwhile you would be gaslighting everyone that it actually works and it's "not only the looks". Everything is like that with tesla when ever someone points out that something is stupid and doesn't work they will come back at you saying "oh but it looks cool and you're just a hater", weird cult indeed.
15:07 I mean. So does elon arguably
Actually, not. lol
hi... why cant CAD designs help? why do we need scanner at first place? pls reply.
From the sublime to the absurd. I found your channel this morning and have "wasted" the entire day. First I watched the Honda S600 playlist and now I'm cherry picking other videos on your channel. You have a new subscriber in me. My takeaway, besides bewilderment and amazement, is the pro tip "good enough."
4:10 Video starts 🫠
Holy hell! I'm only 30 seconds into the video and I had to like and subscribe. Towing a car with dual sport and complete disregard. My guy! Love it!
Maybe I do just buy that expensive ass dry sump system
I get more philosophical inspiration from Matt's ramblings than I ever have anywhere else...
9:10 When working with low density materials on cnc, using conventional milling strategy makes edges so much smother. Give it a try next time.
Champagne shoey 🤙🏻
Is the model T still worth it in 2024 ?
a proper hybrid can solve the main issues with each... but.. the retail ones are a bit.. meh.. questionable one may say... the new mazda hybrids seem to be great buddies family tested one before launch for over a year and bought one as soon as they came out... buddies dad works with somebody from mazda who got them into that long term road test group and... the 3 times they had to have it serviced for recalls were items not relted to it being hybrid but stuff that was used in other cars they make.. but most of what we have seen, yeah some of the downsides of both..
I took welding in high school except where I went to school I was able to go right from grade 9 to 12 that same with automotive maintenance.
All hail the knob jokes!
I know you will probably never want to weld stainless again, but if you put some aluminum angle on top of the sheet, about an inch away, it will keep the shield gas in place longer to make nicer welds. There's nothing structural about it; it just looks better. Inside corners keep the argon in place longer; that's why they came out more shiny. Hence the aluminum angle to basically make an area that keeps the shield gas close. When you put the mild steel tube on the pan, that caused me physical pain.
Hail!
As Bosch Engineer working on iBoosters everyday I approve this message and everything stated in this video. Especially the "don't take the sonsor out of the booster part". And I really flinched when you opened up the boosters ... are you also not reading my TCD and all the guidelines ... come on man. :) Brilliant video as always.
Okay. So the reason we drive electric cars is to save the planet. If we stop doing anything ourselves we become lazy, overweight and now we need more energy to transport ourselves. Cars should be used to get from A to B. That is it. I don't expect it to massage me while driving, for the doors to automatically open. To have the government yell me I can't use a mobile phone while driving and then puts in a screen the size of 20 mobile phones on the dashboard which lights up a lot at night. As a mechanical engineer Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. Just a normal door handle will do. It will save energy, time, money and co2. Yet, none of this matters. Its all one big joke
